On that day, Natalya Evgenievna was late at work and she went home after dusk. In her hands, the woman carried packages of groceries, so when she approached the entrance, she stopped to find her keys. Opening the door, the woman took a step into the dark entrance. The light bulb burned out, so it was pitch dark around. Natalya Evgenievna began to slowly climb the stairs, carefully checking where she put her foot before each step.
Climbing a couple of steps, the woman heard a quiet rustle, and then noticed a pair of eyes that glowed in the dark. Not only Natalya Evgenievna was frightened, but also the owner of bright eyes, who immediately began to move away, trying to hide.
Having placed the packages, the woman took out a flashlight from her bag and illuminated the landing with it. In the corner, she saw a stray dog that was huddled in a corner and trembling violently, unable to cope with his fear.
Natalya Evgenievna continued on her way home, and when she got to the apartment, the first thing she did was find a plastic plate and took out a couple of cutlets from the refrigerator. Together with the treat, she went down the stairs. When a man appeared, the dog again hid in a corner and began to tremble, so the woman put the plate on the floor, and she herself moved away.
Natalya Evgenievna tried not to move, so as not to frighten the dog, but the dog, looking at her with disbelief, nevertheless approached the plate, attracted by the smell of cutlets. The animal nature greedily eats, but at the same time does not forget to look at the woman to make sure that she does not move.
After swallowing the cutlets, the dog climbed out the plate several times to make sure that not a crumb of meat was wasted. Having eaten, the animal again looked at the woman, asking with all its appearance not to drive him out into the street, but to allow him to spend the night in the entrance. Natalya Evgenievna understood the request of the animal, so she slowly turned and went to the apartment to feed her cats and the dachshund.
